It is the fourth commandment from the ten commandments. We are commanded to keep it holy and practice it every week on the seventh day.
Am I being legalistic or am I wrong?
This is what I want to talk about. Should we as believers and modern day people of God do this? I think yes and I will use the bible to explain.
First let me say a few things and then let us pray together too.
Okay, let me say a few athings. These are designed to help and are my opinions.
They are given without judgemnet and are given with love. So please put your pride aside, open your mind. ~Open your heart to the Lord and at least take the time to give all this some thought, just in case this is something important and that it will enhance and improve your walk with God.
~We should always begin every study of Gods' word with humility, open minds and a prayer.
~If you are not seeking the truth then you should be.
~If you think just going to church everytime the doors open is enough, I think you are making a big mistake.
~If you think you find God only at church, I also think you are wrong for thinking that too.
Now let us pray....
Our heavenly Father, oh Lord God Almighty, we come to you in prayer in the name of your only begotten son, our Lord and King forever; Yeshuah our Messiah.
We ask dear Father that you open our hearts and minds to YOUR truth and write your laws on our hearts. Our Lord God Almighty Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, we pray that you bring your Holy Spirit into us and wash and renew our minds with the truth of the word of your patience that we might be obedient and honor you with our lives, bringing glory and honor to you mighty name and your blessed kingdom.
Please help us to remove our opinions and agendas from our minds as we study your word and seek the truth. Open our minds and hearts to your will and your ways. Help us to look for ways to please you with this knowledge and to find our purpose for your pleasure in accordance only with your will for the purpose of glorifying you and further establishing your will for our lives and kingdom.
We praise Lord god almighty!
We thank you for your word and your love and appreciate all you continually do for us.
In all things we acknowledge you are our Lord and our God, and wish to please you with our daily worship of you with our lives and our bodies. We pray that all things will be accomplished according to your will on earth just as it is in your kingdom in heave. In the name of our Lord and King Yeshuah we pray, amen! Oh Lord come quickly!
Now before we study about if we should observe the Sabbath. I would like to impress something upon you.
Is it import or even imperative that we be interested in knowing the truth about what God wants for us? Is there a penalty if we dont desire to know the real truth? What will happen if we dont seek the truth?

It is important to read before and after a verse you want to look at. That is why I put the whole chapter here. It is also import to look at multiple translations, that is why in my studues I present I will provide at least two. Please be encouraged to take the time to compare more for deeper understanding.

So as you can see it is VERY important that we always look for the truth and dont just trrust our preachers and teachers to tell us the right thing. LOOK IT UP YOURSELF! STUDY IT YOURSELF!
Now on to the topic matter.
Should we observe Sabbath?
Or should we observe all the ten commandments?
Let us understand first what the Sabbath actually is:
Now as you will notice there are alot of different opinions from the (definitions on the we) above.
Lets look at the very first Sabbath day and go from there.

2 On the seventh day God was finished with his work which he had made, so he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 God blessed the seventh day and separated it as holy; because on that day God rested from all his work which he had created, so that it itself could produce.

45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more [than others]? do not even the publicans so?
48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
So lets look at this.
What law is he talking about? Because wasnt there a law nailed to the cross and done away with? Didnt he just say that not a single thing will pass away from the law until heaven and earth pass awy? (not one jot or tittle)
Lets look first at what the words jot and tittle mean.
A jot is the name of the least letter of an alphabet or the smallest part of a piece of writing. It is the Anglicized version of the Greek iota - the smallest letter of the Greek alphabet, which corresponds to the Roman 'i'. This, in turn, was derived from the Hebrew word jod, or yodr, which is the the smallest letter of the square Hebrew alphabet. Apart from its specialist typographical meaning, we still use the word jot more generally to mean 'a tiny amount'. Hence, when we have a brief note to make, we 'jot it down'.
A tittle, rather appropriately for a word which sounds like a combination of tiny and little, is smaller still. It refers to a small stroke or point in writing or printing. In classical Latin this applied to any accent over a letter, but is now most commonly used as the name for the dot over the letter 'i'. It is also the name of the dots on dice. In medieval calligraphy the tittle was written as quite large relative to the stem of the 'i'. Since fixed typeface printing was introduced in the 15th century the tittle has been rendered smaller.
The use of the word 'dot' as a small written mark didn't begin until the 18th century. We may have been told at school to dot our i's; Chaucer and Shakespeare would have been told to tittle them.
So not one pen stoke will pass away. not one punctuation mark will change or pass.
Were there more laws or additional laws? Did the people have two sets of laws? One that would pass away when nailed to the cross and another that would remain forever?
Lets look closer at that.
Here is where the confusion comes in.
Many christians believe that collosians 2:14 is talking about doing away with the law.
